While desktop users use a mouse or scrollbar to progress through your page, mobile visitors use their fingers. Attention is valuable because it keeps someone focused on your brand, products, and or services.

It’s so easy to use that the service is being taught to elementary school students. Although Google Sites offers fewer templates, design options, and features than our other picks, it has all the necessities for building a basic website. And there’s no denying its attractive $0 price and lack of “powered by” branding, which other site builders plaster all over their free sites. One particularly nice feature is the ability to edit the mobile view independently from the main website editor using Wix’s Mobile Editor. A great alternative for beginners, Webnode offers beginners easy website creation with its solid templates. Its mobile-friendly design editor is a standout, allowing for on-the-go edits.

Square Online doesn’t offer as many design customization options as the other website builders we tested, but its simplicity is a feature in itself. We Dream In Pixels offers web designing services focusing on creating conversion-friendly and modern websites and landing pages that can assist in lead generation. Its website design and redesign principles are guided by the proper implementation of on-page optimizations on the user interface and user experience for search engine optimization. They provide their clients with website solutions such as eCommerce design, cloud-based web hosting, customer content management, website maintenance and management, and CRM development. They are marketing partners of various platforms such as Shopify, Google, and Facebook.

Based on your input, our custom website design company will make improvements to make your design even better. If you’re committed to building a high-performing site without splurging on pricey packages here are some factors you prioritize. We tested Wix’s AI Text Generator tool ourselves and were really impressed by its tailored output and the amount of time it saved us. The website builder is also about to release an AI Site Generator tool, which will use ChatGPT technology to create entire sites – a feat never seen before in online web builders. The platform’s interface is intuitive and easy to navigate too, and it doesn’t overload you with unnecessary details. This makes the system ideal for businesses just getting to grips with ecommerce software, as well as those with tighter budgets.

As you build out your website pages, customize your template with colors, fonts, images, and content. As your custom web design firm, we will create a website tailored to your unique goals, whether it’s generating online ecommerce sales or attracting high-value leads. We’ll also incorporate SEO best practices into your design to maximize your visibility in search results.

With our website design services, you can ensure that your company maximizes its first impression with users. You can also make sure that your business stands apart from competitors in your industry, emphasizing that your product or service is the best. Choose our web design services, and your business can count on 100 percent transparency. From our personalized quotes to our initial designs, our team provides your company with complete access to our web design pricing and strategies. With their expertise, they can help you determine the most useful tier for your business.

Zyro offers inexpensive plans starting at $5 a month at this writing, but the basic plan comes with restrictively small allowances for storage space (1 GB) and bandwidth (3 GB). A Website Planet review of the service noted an issue with their test site looking different on desktop and mobile—the fix, to edit the mobile view separately, didn’t sound appealing to us. Unlike our other picks, Google Sites offers no live customer support, no built-in site metrics (although you can connect your site to, you guessed it, Google Analytics), and no blogging or e-commerce tools. However, if you use another app—such as OpenTable for restaurant bookings—you can add JavaScript code to embed that app’s widgets on your site.

In other words, total freedom of expression is also total freedom to make an ugly site. It’s hard to tell whether a website builder will do everything you need until you try it. Features such as whether it autosaves your changes—something you might assume it would do—aren’t listed in most apps’ marketing materials.

Northern Lights Cruise Holidays 2024, 2025 & 2026

cruise ship northern lights

One of the latest cruise lines to launch sailings to seek out the aurora is Ambassador. It’s the first British cruise line to do so in more than a decade and has convenient, value-for-money, round-trip voyages from Tilbury, Bristol, Newcastle and Dundee. These include a 14-night sailing on its recently launched second ship, the 1,200-passenger Ambition. Highlights include visits to former Viking strongholds Haugesund and Trondheim, and Arctic Circle calls in Alta, Narvik and Bodo.

Additionally, cultural interactions with local communities will enhance your Arctic experience. The vessels are equipped with observation decks, ensuring optimal Northern Lights viewing. To unwind, onboard amenities include wellness facilities, dining featuring local cuisine and presentations from naturalists. These diverse activities create a holistic and enriching journey for travellers seeking the magic of the Northern Lights. Northern Lights cruises and expeditions with Aurora Expeditions offer a unique and enchanting experience, providing travellers with the opportunity to witness the mesmerizing natural phenomenon known as the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis. These expeditions take place in regions near the Arctic Circle, such as Norway or Iceland, where the Northern Lights are frequently visible.

The auroral oval, a band that hugs the northernmost latitudes where auroral activity has the highest concentration, covers most of Alaska and Iceland, southern Greenland, and the northernmost parts of Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia. They are calculated based on the days of voyage, ability to carry out the activity and exchange rates. Sea kayaking holidays in the humbling wilderness of Antarctica, the Arctic, and some of the world’s most biodiverse regions, are guaranteed to stir your soul. Paddle between brash ice and icebergs of all shapes and sizes, absorbing the majestic scenery as it unfolds before you. We will attempt to enter Kaiser Franz Josef Fjord, a remote and rarely visited fjord system with countless opportunities for exploration, located within the Northeast Greenland National Park. Cruising through Kong Oskar Fjord, we marvel at the geological beauty of the mountains.

The line has a variety of options to sail part or all of the way along the classic route from Bergen to Kirkenes and back, with the round trip taking 11 nights. Observation lounges have glass roofs and reclining chairs to view the Arctic sky and you can push a button on the cabin telephone to be woken up in the night if the lights appear. It also has a northern lights promise — if the phenomenon doesn’t appear during a 12-day sailing, passengers get a free week-long voyage. Search for the northern lights in style aboard Cunard’s stylish Queen Anne, the line’s first new ship in 12 years. The 12-night, round-trip Southampton sailing includes several days at sea to explore the 3,000-passenger vessel and indulge in the signature afternoon tea served by white-gloved waiters. You’ll visit Narvik, one of the world’s most northerly towns, where a ride on the cable car is the best way to experience breathtaking views over the fjords and Arctic landscape.

Day by Day

In true expedition style, we encourage exploration and adventure on our Northern Lights tours. Aurora Expeditions’ Northern Lights cruises offer flexibility in challenging environments in a way that puts you amongst the action to see and do as much as possible. Our Northern Lights adventures will take you across the seas, seeking out the Northern Lights in multiple countries and landscapes.

Additionally, shore tours seek out the best potential viewing spots based on meteorological forecasts. Havila Voyages is so sure that guests will see psychedelic coronas of light in the night sky that the Norwegian cruise line offers a “Northern Lights promise” on any of its 12-day Round Voyages, taking place from October 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025. From there, the ship will sail as far north as possible, to a few kilometers from the Russian border, before sailing back to Tromsø, then visiting the wild and rugged Lofoten Islands and the Trondheim fjord.

Being on a Northern Lights cruise often means several days at sea, and with each night comes a new opportunity to witness the lights. You don’t know when you book your excursions to see the Northern Lights – or to do dogsledding, snowmobiling or out sailing on a smaller boat – what the weather conditions will present. When most people think of winter cruises, they picture sunshine and pool drinks with little umbrellas in them.

The Colors of the Night

In fact, the world’s first Northern Lights observatory was built here in 1899 on Mount Haldde, 900m above sea level. Find out more about the observatory at the Alta Museum or gaze at the marvellous Northern Lights Cathedral, a striking architectural project that functions as Alta’s parish church. Visit the cathedral on a short excursion that also covers some of Alta’s other key sights along the way.

There are also plenty of places near Reykjavík you can head to if you’re short on time, including Thingvellir National Park. Northern Canada is the best place to see the Northern Lights in Canada, in remote places with minimal light pollution. Nunavut in the heart of Canada’s High Arctic is a prime aurora borealis viewing country, with its close proximity to the North Pole and vast expanses of tundra. Consider visiting a remote traditional Inuit community for an unparalleled night of dazzling aurora displays. Every year, millions of tourists flock to the Arctic for a chance to witness the phenomenon of the Northern Lights. While Greenland is one of the best countries in the world for witnessing the Northern Lights, getting there can be challenging and often what holds people back.

Increase your chances of seeing the Northern Lights or aurora borealis on a small ship expedition cruise that takes you deep into the Arctic, to iconic destinations such as Greenland, Iceland and Norway. Onshore activities for cruisers might range from museum and science center visits to dogsledding with huskies, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice-fishing, and scenic helicopter rides. Some cruises offer guests opportunities to spend a night in a snow-ice hotel and visit wildlife sanctuaries where wolves, wolverines, musk oxen, elk, reindeer, and other Arctic mammals might be spotted. And in some ports, cruise guests may learn about and visit with some of Norway’s indigenous Sámi people who, under Norwegian law, are generally the only people in Norway who may own and herd reindeer. Cunard’s Norway and Northern Lights cruise is a 12-day roundtrip along Norway’s coastline from Southampton, England on Queen Mary 2, or Queen Victoria ships. Guest speakers, astronomers and award-winning photographers are usually on board to join guests on deck to each evening to scan for and enjoy the northern lights show.

While Cunard’s 2,996-passenger Queen Anne will offer oodles of nightly performances once it launches in 2024, one of the most dazzling shows could be the one Mother Nature puts on. Want to book flights and accommodation with us or simply want some additional information? Click the button below and fill out the form, our expedition experts are more than happy to help. Add another layer to your once-in-a-lifetime holiday and make the most out of your time in some of the most remote places on earth.

Norway is one of the best places to see the Northern Lights, so if you’re visiting during September to April (the prime time for sightings), don’t miss the opportunity to try to catch a glimpse. There are lots of areas with superb viewing potential, but those mentioned below are worth a standalone visit too, so you’re guaranteed an unforgettable trip regardless of whether the lights come out to shine or not. While the idea of chasing the Northern Lights cruises can seem daunting, a well-informed traveler can maximize the experience. Always remember to consult with your chosen cruise line for specific details and advice, ensuring your journey is as smooth and magical as the dancing lights themselves.

If you’ve got any time left, use it to admire Vesterålen’s blissful beaches, which look inviting in any season. Then it’s on to Tromsø, Norway’s northernmost city, for two days of Arctic adventures, before sailing to Atla, a town known for its bluebird days (ideal for Northern Lights viewing later) and ancient rock carvings for two days. From there, you’ll visit the Westfjords region of Iceland (the northwestern peninsula), with its colorful small towns, turbulent waterfalls, and fjords rich in bird-viewing opportunities. The final days before disembarkation in Bergen, Norway, will be spent in the Faroe Islands.

THE 25 BEST 3 Day Cruises to Ensenada Prices & Itineraries on Cruise Critic

3 day cruise from long beach to ensenada

A huge thank you to Carnival Cruise Line for their generous hospitality. We enjoyed this cruise as professional bloggers, but as always, all opinions are our own. We were really impressed by the comedy shows, musicians and the entertainers for the “Showtime” extravaganza shows in the Dynasty Lounge. There is also an adults-only (21 years+)  outdoor space on the Promenade level called Serenity with a large hot tub and lounge area with chaise recliners.

Traveling the world visually impaired

The decks where the pools are located are packed tightly with lounge chairs and many other obstacles. If you have the option to have a sighted guide help you learn where things are it will go a long way to successful navigation of the ship for the rest of the cruise. Be aware that lounge chair legs do stick out and can be a hazard to navigate near the pools. In the dining rooms and bars the seating is also very close together so taking things slowly so you don’t trip or run into other passengers while navigating those areas is a must. In general there is little room to swing a white cane even in the halls to get to the rooms. I use the hand on the wall trailing method so I don’t kneecap anyone with my cane.

Night Mexican Riviera CruiseDetails

The Navigator of the Seas offers a few options for food included with your ticket price as well as some premium offerings that cost extra. The buffet has a different theme every night, but as a visually impaired person I have trouble with buffets for obvious reasons. There is no braille or large print signage for the dishes, and the staff tending the area behind the food lines are of little help when it comes to identifying a dish.

Planning Your Carnival Cruise to Mexico

They had a variety of burritos, tacos nachos salads and other grab and go type food which we found perfect for lunch. The main dining room offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner but at restricted hours. Information about the hours for food service in the dining room is available from your cabin steward. While there are no options for braille or large print menus the servers were good about reading the menu options to me.

Follow our social media and blog for the latest cruise and travel news, including our best vacation deals. If you love fish tacos, Ensenada (the dish's birthplace) is the place for you to be — try the spate of stalls near the pier where your cruise ship arrives. You can also enjoy food from all around Mexico, from more traditional varieties of tacos and burritos, to tangy ceviche made with locally caught fish.

Indispensable Items to Pack for a Carnival Cruise Vacation

The elevators do announce the floor numbers, but they don’t tell you what amenities are on that floor, which is why I suggest making a cheat sheet to refer to until you get used to where everything is. Just like any hotel, the rooms are well marked but I always find myself counting and memorizing steps to each location on the ship. If you haven’t been on a cruise ship, the first thing you will be shocked by is how small the rooms are. I would consider them about half the size of a regular hotel room, even if you upsize to the junior suite level. We had a balcony and found it nice to sit outside when coming into port, as there is a table and a couple chairs right outside the door. The railing was high and there was no risk of falling unless you were careless.

We have the answers so your first time will be nothing but smooth sailing. Once you arrive in your cabin, check out the "Fun Times" to see which activities you want to attend. Whether you are arriving on a personal vehicle or a paid transportation, there will be plenty of porters collecting your luggage by the parking lot. It will make the process faster if you already have your luggage tags printed. Finally, for a budget hotel, try the Royal Inn Motel Long Beach. You can also check HotelsCombined for the best Long Beach Hotel Rates. Onboard, you’ll also find the Mirage Piano Bar, Illusions Nightclub (18+), Shangri La Lounge, Dream Bar, Atrium Lobby Bar, Alchemy bar where they specialized in martinis and cocktails and have a casino. During our cruise, we had a bit of rain on day one and it was a tad chilly for the waterslides for us. You’ll also find lots of fun activities happening on the Lido Deck — we caught a hairy chest contest that was fun and funny to watch.

Taking a Carnival Cruise? Here are a few tips:

Below you’ll find some helpful tips for cruising and some of our favorite moments on our 3-Day Baja, Mexico cruise from long beach to Ensenada. My husband, son, and I sailed with Carnival for this 3 Day Baja Mexico cruise from Long Beach. Thanks to its stunning coastline, Ensenada will give you plenty of postcard-worthy moments…, and it couldn’t be easier to get there. Escape to Mexico’s original seaside getaway with Carnival cruises to Ensenada. Once a favorite hideaway for high-rolling Hollywood stars, Ensenada is now one of Mexico’s most popular ports of call. You can sightsee, shop or kayak at Punta Banda… but the true pleasures of this festive city are culinary. That’s why a cruise to Ensenada, Mexico should top every foodie’s wish list.

I found it easy to bump into things and risked knocking things off the shelves without a sighted guide. If you want to learn more about the island and it’s cool history with the film industry, I suggest taking a guided bus tour. You can either book ahead of time or when you get to the island, and locating the shops where you board your tour bus is easy because it is just off to the right as you exit the dock area before getting to the shops. There are a ton of other fun things to do on Catalina Island, if you would like more information check out our in-depth review below. For this trip, the boat we sailed on was the Royal Caribbean Navigator of the Seas, which offers many included food options and lots of entertainment offerings.

The Caribbean-themed buffet was my favorite of all the buffet menu during this trip! Like I mentioned earlier, I was thoroughly impressed with the check-in process. There will be 3 lines - early, on-time and VIP or Faster to the Fun. We arrived at around 12 noon and there were hardly any people lined up.

To enter the terminal, you’ll need to provide a boarding pass and a passport because it’s an international cruise. When you cruise out of Long Beach with Carnival, you’ll depart via the Long Beach Cruise Terminal, which is the busiest port in North America with ships docking five days a week. Furthermore, Cruise Critic makes no guarantees for availability of prices advertised on our site. Listed prices may have blackout dates, qualifications or restrictions.

It's this last crop that makes Ensenada the gateway to Baja's wine route (Ruta del Vino), where labels little known outside of Mexico are produced, often in small batches. Winery tours and tastings are a quintessential Ensenada experience. It all makes for a pleasant visit, especially for foodies and oenophiles, who will appreciate the area's farm-to-table ethic and its many alfresco restaurants.

Bahamas Cruise Reviews 2024 UPDATED: Ratings of Cruises to Bahamas

best cruise to bahamas

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection takes the hallmarks of the luxury hotel brand and brings them to sea. The 298-passenger flagship, Evrima, offers guests all-suite accommodations. In addition, there’s a sumptuous spa and premium dining options to accompany them on their Bahamas voyage.

Blue hole snorkeling

Some are landlocked, where they may be filled with either fresh or salt water, and inhabited by a wide range of aquatic life, including crabs, lobsters, octopus and fish. Others are offshore, below the surface of the ocean, creating a mini reef environment to explore. My rule of thumb is to snorkel at every opportunity while in the Bahamas. It's a fun and easy way to take a peek beneath the waves at the colorful sea life found in these waters.

Everything You Need to Plan a Perfect Day at Cococay

The big, mainstream cruise lines sail to the Bahamas year-round, so whichever season or month suits your schedule, you'll find plenty of options departing from multiple ports. Disney Magic is the original Disney ship, these days offering three- to five-night Bahamian itineraries from Florida's Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral. Young passengers will love dining at the "Tangled"-inspired Rapunzel's Royal Table or enjoying a slice at Pinocchio’s Pizza. They'll learn from Spider-Man and the like at the Marvel Super Hero Academy, be wowed by fireworks at sea, and get the chance to be made over like princes and princesses at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Adults can claim a moment of alone time at the kid-free piano bar, Keys, or with a treatment at Senses Spa & Salon. Other Bahamas stops include Bimini, which is less frequented, and cruise line private islands, which can only be accessed via cruise ship.

Summer Bahamas cruises

Let the alluring aquamarine waters and white sands seduce you on a cruise to The Bahamas with Celebrity. Coral-fringed islands scattered across turquoise seas promise snorkeling among shoals of rainbow-colored fish, fresh conch fritters, and ice-cold rum cocktails under a tropical sun. Relax on beaches of soft sand, shop for handicrafts in local markets, and explore the islands’ fascinating history.

2025 Caribbean Cruises

Dive and drift through warm waters to reach colorful coral reefs in Bimini like Rainbow Reef. See mysterious shipwrecks like Theo's Wreck and Sea Star Wreck in Grand Bahama. And take part in some thrilling wall diving — where you can explore deep reef edges — in New Providence. This Bahamas cruise is ideal for anyone looking for a different Carnival experience during a weeklong cruise. Though cruising is relatively new to the Margaritaville travel and hospitality franchise, cruise line Margaritaville at Sea is essentially a rebranding of the old Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line.

Features and Coolest Things to Do on Carnival Mardi Gras in the Caribbean

I hate taking tender ships, which can feel like a bit of a time sink, so this is a big bonus to me. Cruise bookings are predicted to reach record highs this year, but not all itineraries are created equally — especially if you're looking to sail with Disney Cruise Line. Whether you cruise multiple times per year or you're new to cruising, the goal of Royal Caribbean Blog is for it to be a useful resource for keeping up to date with what's new and exciting with Royal Caribbean. That being said, you’ll more than likely encounter comfortable temperatures at any time of year on a Bahamas cruise. Drier weather can be expected between November and April, with the rainiest months between June and September.

Disney Wish is the Newest Disney Ship in the Bahamas and the Caribbean

Both Western and Eastern Caribbean cruises often include a visit to The Bahamas in combination with stops in ports like Cozumel, Roatan, San Juan, St. Maarten, and Labadee. Most cruises departing from the northeast will stop at a few ports along the southeast coast of the United States before visiting The Bahamas, such as Charleston, South Carolina and Orlando, Florida. Nature lovers can enjoy a tour of Lucayan National Park, where they’ll kayak through mangroves and learn about the park’s diverse ecosystem and geology.

The best month to cruise the Bahamas, weather-wise, depends on your travel style. Are you stressed by the possibility of cancellations due to hurricanes or by port changes from unexpected cold fronts? Skip January, December, August, September — and maybe even October. The answers to these questions will determine the best month or season for your Bahamas cruise.

Bahamas shore excursions typically focus on activity in the water, but if shopping, food tours or sightseeing are more your thing, you'll find those options as well. The Bahamas is made up of a culturally rich collection of islands that have a reputation for welcoming visitors with arms wide open. From simple beach break excursions to full-day tours, you can easily find something that floats your boat in the Bahamas. Sapona, one of the Caribbean’s most famous shipwrecks, spending the day at a beach resort, and tasting local cuisine. Like other Bahamas cruise ports, most passengers will spend the day on Grand Bahama Island at the beach.

It's a fun way to spend a day out on the water with an opportunity to see these predators and other colorful tropical fish without fear. You can purchase Atlantis day passes independently, but the advantage of booking your visit as an excursion is that transportation will be included. Speaking of gear, at Castaway Cay, cruisegoers can borrow free towels as soon as they get off of the ship. There are plenty of towel-return stations around the island, so I also never have to carry wet, sandy towels back on the ship.

It’s a ship with glamorous décor and panoramic views, yet passengers can still enjoy fun favorites like Movies Under the Stars and a bar-lined, high-energy atrium that hosts activities, music and dancing. There's also the occasional pool game; just don't expect any belly flop contests. Carnival Conquest carries up to 2,980 passengers but there is no room for boredom with Carnival’s exclusive Seuss at Sea programming or playtime by the pool. Escape the crowds with some downtime at Serenity, your ship’s adult-only sun deck.

Take a nature walk or a Jeep adventure through the pine forests, or stretch your legs at the Rand Nature Center, which offers bird-watching and installations by local artists. Two eight-night voyages out of New York City include stops at Freeport, Nassau and Half Moon Cay. Port diversions consist of touring the Key West Shipwreck Treasures Museum and the Key West Aquarium, shopping along Nassau's Bay Street and exploring the white-sand beaches and pristine waters on Great Stirrup Cay. Wish carries 4,000 passengers in cabins and suites designed to simplify cruising with kids. But never fear, adult Disney fans; you'll also find your spot on board. From the "Star Wars"-themed Hyperspace Lounge to the Quiet Cove adults-only sun deck, Disney manages to cater to grownups as well as kids.

Norwegian Cruise Line boasts the youngest fleet cruising to the Bahamas. The line has a great mix of itineraries and departure ports, which is why it’s chosen here as the best option for a 4-day getaway to the Bahamas this year. Bahamas & Key West vacation getaways are perfect for travelers looking for pristine beaches, rich history, delicious food, & stunning wildlife encounters.

A similar Disney cruise ship Bahamas experience is to be had on Disney Dream, sailing four-, five- and occasionally three-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale. The destinations may be similar, but each cruise ship to the Bahamas has its own personality and variety of amenities. To help you find the ship or ships that suit you and your travel party, we’ve done the comparisons. Here are the six best cruise ships in the Bahamas to help you determine your perfect fit.

Found on Bahamas-exclusive sailings and Caribbean voyages, Bahamian ports offer plenty of sun and sand, as well as opportunities for shopping, gambling and more. Get a taste of traditional Caribbean culture as you sail to ports like Bonaire and Aruba. Relive Curacao's colorful past, and discover Bonaire's pristine coral reefs. Or explore Aruba’s underwater "Antilla" shipwreck, home to a variety of exotic sea life.

My favorite things on the lunch menu are the ribs and macaroni salad. One thing I love about Disney Cruise Line and Castaway Cay is that there are plenty of adults-only spaces where kids are strictly not allowed. The best part about seeing the characters is that the lines to take pictures with them are never long. On a recent sailing, I saw Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto all in 30 minutes.
